“MASBio has offered a unique transdisciplinary experience that has allowed me to learn about every aspect of a research initiative, from beginning to end. Not only have I been able to further my personal sustainability education, but I’ve gained exposure in many areas outside of my expertise, such as feedstock production and harvesting, conversion processes and public outreach. Collaborating with partners from all aspects of research, from academia to government agencies and industry professionals, I’ve been able to broaden both my education and future career all under one umbrella. I am grateful to have been a part of such a diverse team that is truly motivated in the efforts of bringing a sustainable bio economy to Appalachia, and am excited to continue on this path!”
